Cult en 1/2 Cult

  • Materials:

Cult is made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, which will develop a dull gray patina after a few weeks due to light oxidation.
The sides are made of Padauk wood, which changes from red to gray over time with rain and sun exposure.
The bottom beams are aluminum, ensuring durability for decades without maintenance.

  • Maintenance:

Keep it clean with water, soap, and a hand brush.
The soil inside may need periodic renewal depending on the climate and the plants grown. Mold on the soil's surface is a clear sign it’s time to refresh it. Gravel or substrate can remain. The wooden planks require no maintenance but should be cleared of moss. Applying Rubio Monocoat oil prevents the wood from graying. See www.rubiomonocoat.be.

The Wagon Family

The Wagon is a multifunctional cart made of birch plywood (commonly used in yacht building). Multiple layers of varnish make it waterproof. Underneath, there are two aluminum bridges that support the polyester wheel axles, where 12-inch wheels rotate on 8 sealed roller bearings. All parts are available separately. The description can be found on the attached drawing. The Wagon is designed for outdoor use and comes in three versions: The wagon, Wagon with planks and the wagon with woven basket.

  • Maintenance

Tire Pressure: Proper functionality of the cart starts with checking the tire pressure. Use at least 500 grams of pressure for driving on sand or loose surfaces, and 1 kg for normal use.

Wheel Fixing: The hand nuts that secure the wheels must press the spring washer against the wheel. Otherwise, friction will cause the wheel to loosen the hand nut. Always keep the thick black plastic ring behind the wheel, as it prevents the wheel from rubbing against the axle.

Handle Position: The handle should always remain upright when stationary. Ensure the elastic that lifts the handle is still functional. If needed, this elastic can be shortened or replaced.

Plank Protection: The corners of the planks are safeguarded by a plastic bumper with a recessed opening. Ensure there is no dirt, gravel, or debris trapped in the opening.

Cleaning: Periodically clean the planks with soap, water, and a soft brush, then let them dry. Afterward, you can remount your fabric, basket, or planks. Do not use a high-pressure washer.

Storage in Rain: If the cart is left outside in the rain for an extended period, it is better to store it vertically, with the rear wheels and back resting on the ground. This prevents water from pooling on the planks.

Cascade Tradewinds Outdoor Shower

Showers

Cascade

  • Materials:

The cascade is made from hot-dip galvanized steel pipes and a base.
The planks on the base are made of Robinia wood. The spray head is made of black polyacetal plastic.

  • Maintenance:

If the water jets are no longer parallel while showering, you can clean the holes with a thin object (needle or paperclip) while the water is running. Algae or sand grains can clog the holes and disrupt the flow.

  • Proper use:

The wooden planks require no maintenance. However, moss should be removed.
Moss is very slippery under bare feet and can damage the wood over the years.
Oiling the planks with Rubio Monocoat is an alternative to prevent the wood from turning grey.

To avoid frost damage, it is best to disconnect the garden hose, open the tap, and let the water drain from the cascade.

You can find the manual here.

Showers

WellWell

  • Materials:

WellWell is made of aluminum and tropical wood. At the bottom, there are brass nozzles and a tap supported by a PVC pipe. Waterproof materials requiring minimal maintenance.

  • Maintenance:

Cleaning can be done with water, soap, and a sponge. In freezing weather, there is a risk of frost damage in the central pipe!
Please disconnect the garden hose supplying water and open the tap.
Let the water drain from the WellWell by gently tilting it with the hose connector facing downward. If the water jets are no longer parallel while showering, it may be due to algae or sand grains clogging the holes and disrupting the flow.
Unscrew the cap at the end of the pipe and let water flow through. Tilt the WellWell downward and clean the holes with a thin object (needle, wire, or paperclip).
Any remaining debris will be flushed out with the water.

You can find the manual here.

Show'r

  • Materials:

Show’r is made of steel pipes that have undergone an anti-rust treatment (Cataphoresis) and were subsequently powder-coated. Couplings, taps, and the showerhead are made of brass.
Non-oxidizing materials, requiring no maintenance.

  • Maintenance

You can descale the showerhead with vinegar. However, be aware that brass reacts to vinegar and discolors to red copper. It is better to only soak the scaled parts in vinegar and then rinse them.

The base is made of Robinia wood and does not require special maintenance.
However, if you notice moss, it should be removed. This can be done with water, soap, and a hand brush. Moss is very slippery under bare feet and, over time, can damage the wood.

Oiling the base with Rubio Monocoat is an alternative to prevent the wood from turning grey.

  • Proper use:

Ensure proper ventilation of the wooden base to speed up the drying process. For example, avoid placing it for long periods on grass, loose soil, or gravel. Ideally, place it on a stone surface with slight drainage.

To connect the upper and lower pipes, tighten the brass bolt manually.
Please do not use a wrench. Hand-tightening should be sufficient.

If droplets continue to come out of the showerhead after turning off the tap, please wait a moment. The pipe and showerhead need to empty. Give them time (communicating vessels…).
The tap operates with a rubber ring that requires minimal pressure to seal properly.
So, please don’t overtighten. Wait at least 1–2 minutes.

In freezing weather, there is a risk of frost damage!
Please disconnect the garden hose, open the tap, and let the water drain from the Show’r.
Tilting the Show’r flat to the left helps to fully empty the pipe.

You can find the manual here.

Chest'r Tradewinds

Storage

Chest'r

  • Materials:

The wooden lid is made from thermo ash wood and has been oiled several times with Rubio oil. Keep your lid clean, free from moss and decaying leaves. This can be done with a hand brush, water, and soap.

Please also ensure the chest is slightly tilted to the left or right. This helps promote drainage through the holes on both short sides. Make sure to regularly clear these holes to prevent stagnant water from collecting on your lid.

  • Maintenance

Depending on the exposure of your Chest’r (sun, rain, trees…), the wood can be re-oiled.
First, scrub the planks of the lid thoroughly and allow them to dry for a few days.
Once dry, you can rub the planks with Rubio Monocoat. (www.rubiomonocoat.be)
A bottle of this oil is included in the packaging upon delivery.

The fabric around the chest should always be tightly stretched, like a drum.
This can be done by first sliding the edge of the cover fabric a few millimeters above the black feet at the bottom. (see the Chest’r assembly manual) Then, evenly tension the two ratchet buckles at the back. This fabric can be replaced if it gets damaged.

RollX

  • Materials:

RollX is made from stainless steel, and the drum is made of ABS plastic.
Stainless steel can be maintained with a cloth soaked in light oil (e.g., WD40 or CRC-5/56). Alternatively, you can spray the oil and polish it with the cloth.

  • Maintenance

In freezing weather, there is a risk of frost damage to the central shaft!
Please disconnect the garden hose in the middle of the drum and drain the water from the RollX by slightly tilting it for a few seconds so the water can flow out of the pipe.
Also, ensure the water gun is emptied by disconnecting it from the hose and pressing the button.

When the garden hose is fully unwound, the connection to the rotating quick coupling may become too short (e.g., by pulling the hose too quickly or forcefully).
Please ensure there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of slack between the coupling and the drum opening (a nice loose loop). This ensures smoother water flow and prevents strain on the rotating central coupling.

You can find the manual here.

Waterette

  • Materials

The Waterette is made from steel square bars that have undergone an anti-rust treatment (cataphoresis) and were subsequently powder-coated. Couplings, taps, and the gun are made of brass. These are non-oxidizing materials and require no maintenance. The cross connections are made from turned robinia wood. Robinia is a very durable wood species that turns grey under the influence of water and UV.

  • Maintenance:

If moss appears, it should be removed. This can be done with water, soap, and a hand brush. Moss can damage the wood over time. When rolling up the garden hose, it is best to bring the end of the hose with the gun to the reel first. This makes winding easier and reduces the chance of damaging the gun. Additionally, avoid rolling the hose neatly like a spool; instead, roll it loosely and casually. This creates more space for the garden hose to contract during a cold night, thereby preventing the cross wooden blocks that form the drum from being overstrained by the hose shrinking.

In freezing weather, there is a risk of frost damage to the central shaft!
Please disconnect the garden hose that supplies the water and drain the water from the Waterette by slightly tilting it for a few seconds so the water can flow out of the pipe. Also, ensure the water gun is emptied by disconnecting it from the hose and pressing the button.

You can find the manual here.

Propel'r

  • Materials:

Propel’r is made of steel pipes that have undergone an anti-rust treatment (cataphoresis) and were subsequently powder-coated. The couplings, taps, and showerhead are made of brass.
These are non-oxidizing materials, so no special maintenance is required.

  • Proper use:

To connect the pipe to the sprinkler head, you need to tighten a brass bolt manually.
Please do not use a wrench. Hand-tightening should be sufficient.

The tap operates with a rubber ring that does not require much pressure to seal properly. Please do not overtighten.

The ground can sometimes be hard for planting the sprinkler. Use your foot or both feet to press down on the pedal to drive the spike into the soil.

In freezing weather, there is a risk of frost damage! Please disconnect the garden hose, open the tap, and drain the water from the Propel’r.
